Medullary syndromes: vascular disorders of the medulla oblongata following thrombosis of its arteries, producing distinct patterns of ipsilateral and contralateral neurological deficit.
Arterial Supply of the Medulla
Medulla is supplied by:
Two vertebral arteries
Anterior and posterior spinal arteries
Posterior inferior cerebellar artery
Anterior inferior cerebellar artery
Basilar artery
Clinical
