Definition
Death is the permanent and irreversible cessation of the functions of the three vital systems of the body:
- Cardiovascular system (Heart / circulation)
- Respiratory system (Lungs / respiration)
- Central nervous system (Brain)
The individual ceases to exist as a living person.
